Notes

Warm golden-orange backlight breaks through heavy storm clouds at the horizon, silhouetting a bare deciduous tree against a dramatic, layered sky. The palette contrasts cool grey limestone pavement in the foreground with amber and violet tones aloft. Depth of field is extensive, keeping the rocky foreground texture and distant hills equally sharp. Mood is solitary and elemental, with strong tonal contrast between the glowing horizon and brooding cloud mass.
