Notes

Soft, diffuse studio light wraps evenly around a small kitten from slightly above and front, eliminating harsh shadows and producing a clean high-key white background. The palette is muted grey, cream and white with a single vivid accent of the pink-red tongue. Depth of field is very shallow, isolating the face sharply while the body dissolves into soft blur. Contrast is low and airy, mood is playful and endearing.

Look character

High-key white background with near-zero shadow, achieved by large diffuse light source or seamless studio setupVery shallow depth of field renders the kitten's face sharp while fur at the edges and body fall into smooth bokehSingle saturated accent — the extended tongue — pops against an otherwise desaturated neutral paletteLow overall contrast with lifted shadows gives the image a soft, commercial-pet-photography feel

Difficulty

Straightforward: everyday light and a normal exposure.
