Notes

A single hard light source strikes the subject from camera-right and slightly above, carving deep shadow across the left side of the face and body against a near-black background. The palette is stripped to monochrome with extreme contrast — bright highlights on the polka-dot top and jaw line, dense blacks everywhere else. Depth of field appears shallow, isolating the figure. The mood is cinematic, introspective, and dramatically theatrical.

Look character

Extreme chiaroscuro with a single hard directional key light from upper camera-rightDeep black background with almost no ambient fill, creating a near-silhouette on the shadow sideShallow depth of field isolating the upper torso and face from the dark environmentHigh-contrast monochrome conversion with crushed blacks and preserved highlight detail on textured fabric

Difficulty

Straightforward: everyday light and a normal exposure.
