Notes

Warm golden-hour backlight floods a dry grass field, wrapping two figures in a soft rim of amber and creating strong separation from the background. The palette is entirely warm — burnt gold, chestnut, and deep shadow tones. Depth of field is extremely shallow, rendering the foreground grasses as creamy bokeh. Contrast is gentle and lifted, with luminous highlights and open shadows that give the scene an intimate, romantic mood.

Look character

Extreme shallow depth of field with large circular bokeh from dry grass stalks in foreground and backgroundStrong warm backlight creating rim/hair light separation on both figuresMuted, lifted shadows with a warm golden-amber colour cast throughout the frameSubjects positioned slightly off-centre, shot from behind to emphasise environment over identity

Difficulty

Needs a very fast lens, a short window of light.
